Wednesday 11th Ocotber  - Hillside Football Festival

First of all a massive thank you to Halfiax for coming down to Hillside to take part in the Festival, which was well supported and played with great enthusiasm and attitude.

A thank you to all adults for supporting the childen in what hopefully will become an annual event in both schools sporting calendars.

Thursday 12th October - Boys Football Tournament

The boys were off to Whitton Sports Centre for the annual IPSSA football tournament. A mixture of players worked extremely hard against tough opposition, where they had mixed fortunes but more importantly never gave up and continued to try and play some neat passing football throughout.

Well done to the boys!

Thursday 19th October - Girls Football Tournament

The girls showed great effort in all of their games and improved with every performance managing to achieve 3 draws in 6 close games. A massive thank you to parents for their support as well as Mr. Abbott. Well Done girls!

Tuesday 6th November - Boys Football IPSSA Cup vs The Oaks

The boys put in a fantastic shift to overcome a strong Oaks team in an end to end encounter. Hillside took the lead early in the first half only to be pegged back by a determined Oaks side who went 2-1 up with two well worked goals. Hillside were not out of it as the drew level just before half time.

The Oaks took the lead mid way through the second half with a cool finish. Hillside worked hard to get back into the game and got their rewards late in the game with a wonderful cross converted by our captain sending the game into extra time.

Extra time was end to end with both teams having good chances but penalties had to decide the game. both GKs making saves before the Hillside GK save the final penalty to win the game.

Well done boys!!!!!
