School Dinners

Caterlink are our catering service providers.  You can access the current menu using the link to the right.

The price of a school dinner remains at £2.30.  Money must be paid to the school in advance - please do not allow your child's dinner money account to overspend.  You can pay cash into the cash machine in the main school reception area.  Cheques (payable to Hillside Primary School) can be posted in the grey box located on the wall in the main reception area, or you can pay on-line using your Parentmail PMX account.  You can also check your balance using the cash machine in the reception area or by logging in to your PMX account.  If you have any queries, or need any help, please speak to a member of the office staff.

Free School Meals and Pupil Premium Funding

If you are in receipt of certain benefits or have a low income you may qualify for a Free School Meal, worth up to £437, and Pupil Premium Funding (currently £1320 per year) for your child.  Details, including the eligibility criteria, are available via this link: http://www.suffolk.gov.uk/children-families-and-learning/schools/school-meals-transport-and-travel/apply-for-free-school-meals/

If your child is in F2 or KS1, they will automatically receive free meals, but parents still need to complete the application to benefit from the £1320 of Pupil Premium Funding.  Please refer to the Pupil Premium tab to find out how the school provides additional support to the children who qualify.

Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) - F2 & KS1

Since September 2014, all children in F2 (Reception Year Group) and Key Stage 1 are offered a free lunch thanks to a government initiative.  Children are still welcome to bring a healthy packed lunch from home if you prefer.

This is a great opportunity for children to try different foods and share the social time with their friends.  We work closely with our caterers, Caterlink, to develop the lunchtime experience as an enjoyable part of the school day.
