Graduate Internship - Sports Coach

30 hpw, 38 weeks (term time, 7.30-9.00am and 12.00-4.30pm)

Fixed term 1 September 2017 - 31 August 2018.

Salary details: £15,014 pro rata

Closing date: 9am, Friday 30th June 2017

Interview date: Monday 10th July 2017

Hillside Primary School wishes to appoint a graduate who is looking for experience in Sports Coaching, to deliver activities before and after school and support delivery of the curriculum in the afternoons.

The post is a one year fixed contract ending 31 August 2018.

We will provide:

  • experience of working in a culturally diverse and vibrant primary school setting
  • opportunities to work with enthusiastic pupils, to support their learning
  • opportunities to contribute to planning and delivery of activities beyond the curriculum that broaden the children’s skills and enrich their experience.
  • a Hillside Staff Guarantee providing a Wellbeing package and Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

You will need:

  • a good honours degree level qualification (2:1 or above) related to Sport or PE, and good literacy and numeracy skills (minimum GCSE grade B or above)
  • aspirations to work with children in a professional role in the future
  • an ability to use your own initiative and work independently

Midday Supervisors

There are currently no permanent vacancies, however, we would still welcome applications so that we can have a reserve list of casual MDSAs who are on call to cover for absence.
 
Salary £14514 pro rata
Candidates should be enthusiastic individuals with a proven flexible approach to working in a busy environment and confident in promoting an acceptable standard of behaviour and encourage positive play and activities both on the playground and indoors on wet days.
