Who we are
Hillside School is a co-educational primary academy school for pupils between the ages of 3 and 11 years. It serves the Maidenhall and Stoke areas of south-west Ipswich. 

We see a bright future for Hillside Primary School because we believe all children will be successful if we work hard to make it so.

You will:

  • Be an exemplary teacher of English; acting as a professional model to colleagues and learners
  • Takes specific responsibilities and accountability for the teaching and learning of Phonics and Reading across the school
  • Be a highly effective classroom practitioner capable of modelling strong practice in the teaching of English
  • Secure consistently high standards and rapid progress in Phonics and Reading across the school
  • Establish and lead a small team to champion and support the development of phonics and a culture of reading across the school to ensure that planning and classroom practice, provides work that consistently matches pupils’ needs, abilities and interests
  • Support and implement the vision and ethos of the school as a member of ELT
